Lightning Round
Get some KSHH feedback on your music.

STUDENT/PLAYER GUIDE

This activity is optional. Did you make any music in Soundtrap on your own since the band last met? Here's your chance for some feedback.

Step 1: Share your track with the band. You might consider (1) sharing an MP3, or (2) inviting band members to visit your Soundtrap studio (remind them not to edit your tracks), or (3) play your audio like a DJ through your video call.

Step 2: Give and receive KSHH feedback.

TEACHER/PRODUCER GUIDE

  1. Note: Teachers can host Lightning Rounds as part of each class, while other teachers may showcase student and band work on special days, (e.g. every other Friday).
  2. Invite any student who wants to share their work to introduce themselves, and say something about what they’re sharing. Have students pick the best part of a longer piece, (30 to 60 seconds max of music is usually a good amount.)
  3. Help students understand good audience behavior - to be respectful and supportive.
  4. Work out a good way for the virtual audience to provide a group response (ie. applause), and KSHH is always a crucial component of student presentations.

RUBRIC

Extra credit may be awarded for either sharing music in a Lightning Round, or sharing KSHH feedback with another player.
