A team of surgeons perform a heart transplant. A pit crew changed tires and refuels a race car in seconds. A soccer team converts a corner kick into a goal. A team of engineers send a robot to explore the surface of Mars. An orchestra performs The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky at Carnegie Hall. A jazz quartet plays an electrifying live set at a famous music festival in Europe.
What do these groups of people have in common? Timing, communication, skillsets, and teamwork. Same as your band!
In this activity we'll discuss how we experience exceptional teamwork in the world around us.
Step 1: Think about an exceptional team performance. Who is on the team and what are their responsibilities? How do they collaborate? What do better teams accomplish together? Why are they successful?
Step 2: Share your team story with your group.
Step 3: Share some KSHH feedback with a bandmate about their story.
