Steve Van Dam
Founder & CEO
My passion for music began in the band room in elementary school. After earning a degree in Music Composition and Theory from JMU, I toured the world with my band Everything. (We had a hit song called "Who Got the Hooch" and played with stars like Dave Matthews, Beyonce, and NSync.) The next phase of my music industry career included composing and producing over 1,000 tracks, mostly for TV and film.
Since 2010, I've been using my experience to inspire a new generation of creators, because I believe that learning, collaborating, and playing music lights the world. I am super passionate about delivering these opportunities into learning spaces with underserved populations.

Head of Customer Success & Education
After tour managing a five-piece band in my 20's, I traded in the live show experience to try my hand at secondary education, and found my footing as a high school English teacher. A decade later I had the privilege to join an early stage ed-tech start up based in Richmond (MajorClarity) as a founding member of the Customer Success team. Within four years we were serving students and schools in 40 states, ultimately leading to a successful acquisition. In joining forces with LTM - a timely and energizing collision - I have found a place where my passion for music, education, and innovative technology can thrive.
When I am not creating content or collaborating with LTM partners, you're most likely to find me traveling the country, following my favorite band - Phish - on tour.

Head of Tech and Design
My journey into design was shaped by navigating trauma and loss at an early age, and by the support I received along the way. Those experiences taught me the power of creativity as a pathway to healing and the importance of spaces where people feel seen and supported. Professionally, I’ve led design teams for fast-paced startups (BLDR), built governance frameworks for sustainable growth, and launched community-centered ventures like Slowdowwwn in Richmond. My work always comes back to the intersection of creativity, equity, and accessibility— how design and tech can open doors.
Outside of this I find inspiration in drinking coffee, storytelling through videography and photography, and being a parent of 3 youths. Follow me on instagram.

Head of Sales
My journey in music began with writing, performing, and teaching, but it quickly grew into something deeper. I discovered that creativity isn’t just about skill—it’s about connection, healing, and the possibility of change. Those lessons have shaped the way I move through every role I’ve taken on.
I’ve taught in higher education, led community arts programs, and worked in healthcare, always coming back to one belief: music changes lives. I love connecting the right people with what we offer and seeing the joy and impact that creates. It’s where artistry and opportunity meet, and it keeps me inspired every day.
Outside of work, you’ll find me on a rugby field, experimenting in the kitchen, or lost in a good book. I’m always looking for new ways to grow.
