JUSTICE-IMPACTED YOUTH AND ADULT ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Creative Futures is a career-connected music technology and digital media production program where youth build agency, voice, and career-readiness. Participants create real-world projects—beats, podcasts, videos—while building portfolios, life/career skills, and well-being. Purposefully built for high-adversity environments, Creative Futures emphasizes intrinsic motivation, healing and transformation through creative expression, coping skills and peer-to-peer community building.
The STAGES curriculum provides the skills vital to digital career pathways through a scaffolded project-based learning (PBL) curriculum that covers Music, Technology, Media Production, Digital Fluency, Writing, Design, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
Student growth is fueled by real-world portfolios, impactful community showcases, and positive interactions are fueled by extracurricular ‘Studio Time’ incentives.

Programs are designed for flexibility, and developed to support learning in a variety of delivery formats and instructional cadences.
Our "sessions" (lesson plans) are adaptable for both in-person and virtual learning models, and are compatible with both teacher-directed, self-paced, and hybrid delivery.
Curriculum can be paced to meet 9-week, 18-week, and year-round programming needs, and modified to support bi-weekly, weekly, and even daily participation cadences.
Lesson plans are easily scaffolded to accommodate learners joining your program at various entry points, and with a range of proficiency levels.

Our Music Technology classes empower educators to ignite student creativity with engaging, project-based learning (PBL).
Music Tech/General Music: Standards-based semester and year-long curricula including scaffolded lesson plans with resources, class slides and step by step instructions for music-making.
Stand-alone activities for ensembles: Single or multi class period activities empower engagement and collaboration, and enhance music fundamentals.
Live ‘Masterclass’ sessions: Field experts, career musicians and educators visit your classes, providing a deep dive into the music industry/careers, production, composition, and more.
Creativity, Collaboration, and Connection
For students, Light The Music broadens “5C” skills, nurtures student choice/voice and SEL (Social Emotional Learning), and deepens an understanding and love of music.
Educators get easy, step-by-step plans, templates, and resources with over 50 class sessions, along with training and support to learn, create and teach with digital audio tools.

We offer bulk device packages with cases and keyboards (iPads, MacBooks), Digital Audio Workspace (DAW) software (GarageBand, Soundtrap) - and music studio gear (microphones, keyboards, speakers, and more).
