Music Technology in York County School District
The Music Technology course at Grafton Middle School equips students with essential creative and technical skills for the 21st century. Through hands-on projects, students learn to compose, produce, and edit music using industry-standard software, fostering both artistic and technical proficiency. This innovative program not only nurtures students' talents but also prepares them for future careers by enhancing their digital literacy and problem-solving abilities.

Students remixed the staff member's vocal track to create their own original beats in GarageBand.
Their participation in the pilot program culminated in a facility-wide student showcase for all staff and students at JRJDC, in which each student played (and described) their music to the school community.
